NVUG Mailing ListAboutThe NVUG list is a free subscription and un-moderated mailing list for users of In Practice Systems primary care clinical software - Vision. This mailing list is independent of the company and is and managed by Dr. Paul Miller, a general medical practitioner, Vision user and NVUG National Panel member working in Glasgow, Scotland. The list is hosted on Yahoo Groups. The Help Pages for Yahoo Groups gives more details on their service. The list is not a means of reporting any problems with service from InPS. While representatives of the User Group and InPS may subscribe to the list, they are of course not obliged to act unless they are informed of problems through the usual channels. The list is primarily a discussion forum to help the users of the software learn how to use it to its full potential. A selection of recent topics is available on the eNVUG list topics page. Further details and advice on "Netiquette" can be found on these pages. There is also a separate more technical discussion list eNVUGTECH
JoiningTo join the list you must subscribe to Yahoo Groups. Follow this link: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nvug/join Make sure you use the e-mail address you send from as your subscription address, otherwise you will not be able to send mail to the list. If you wish to receive messages to both a personal and work e-mail address, you will have to subscribe twice. Other CommandsThe easiest way to manage your subscription is through the Yahoo Groups web site. Yahoo Groups also provide for e-mail commands to subscribe or unsubscribe from the group. On the web site, you can choose to read the list only on the Web, receive a digest of messages or have each message sent to your e-mail address.
PostingTo send a message to the list use the address nvug@yahoogroups.com. Shared FilesE-groups provide an area for shared files, which may be of use to users who want to exchange guidelines or applications. Any subscriber can upload files to this area. This is a popular service. If you are having problems accessing the files, read this document.
